Yin Yoga offers a great way to begin a yoga practice; one that can branch out in many directions. For many maybe a practice that can last for the rest of your life. Beginners can definitely start their yoga journey with Yin Yoga.

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise with postures that are held for longer periods of time. For beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one Asana (posture/position/pose) for five minutes or more. All these postures are primarily seated, many using many props (such as bolster, blocks, blanket Or strap) for support.

Yin Yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas.
